Team Motivation and Keeping up to Date

28 03 2010

Team motivation is heavily influenced by the team leader, of whom the team were reliant upon being able to set SMART targets for individuals and the team, which would result in the team being motivated (as they would have an aim for the oncoming week). Team motivation would prove to be a skill that each member, once having the role of the chairperson, would develop further over the weeks- as they would be more familiar with the group capabilities and individual capabilities. Another skill that was learnt during the process of being part of a team was that of needing to keep as up to date as possible, where other members of the team would be reliant upon some of your tasks that would need to be completed. The idea of doing all of the tasks that you have been asked to complete is more so about being part of a team, and whether you work together well. This is also influenced heavily and asked for by the chairperson, of whom their motivational skills are tested. Overall, this seems to be an important progression within the project, whereby trust is gained- in terms of everybody being able to complete their part of the task required. Team motivation is also another skill developed during the process of completing the website and working as a team.
